Just wondering if anyone here can help on this. I have the KT7-Raid m/b with an 800MHz Duron right now. I'm wanting to upgrade to a faster Athlon T-bird processor.

Here's the problem. My manual says the board supports up to 1GHz Athlon w/100MHz FSB plus it supports 200MHz Alpha EV6 bus(??). Abit's site says it supports up to 1.2 GHz Athlons. A phone tech guy said up to 1.4MHz.

Anyone have any idea what this board will support? I'm not interested in upgrading to Athlon XP until maybe late next year or later(new M/B, Processor and memory= too much $$$). I would like, however, to get the most out of this board while I have it.

I have built two Abit KT7 based systems (one raid, one not)-- both has 1.2gig thunderchicken processors.

    They worked fine.

[IMG] That's what I needed to hear! Thanks. Abit's site makes you work too hard to find any info at all.
This should boost my GTA3 and Morrowind FPS's! [IMG]
