How about a different list than we usually come up with?

How many abandoned TV shows on DVD are in your collection?

The lone ground rule:
Only shows that had its last release PRIOR to 01/01/05 and don't have a release on the horizon (NYPD Blue is an example, an '06 release is coming) are eligible.

Baretta - 4 seasons aired
10/29/02 - Season 1 Released

Boomtown - 2 seasons aired
07/20/04 - Season 1 Released

Charlie's Angels - 5 seasons aired
05/27/03 - Season 1 Released
04/06/04 - Season 2 Released

Happy Days - 11 seasons aired
08/17/04 - Season 1 Released

Laverne & Shirley - 8 seasons aired
08/17/04 - Season 1 Released

S.W.A.T. - 2 seasons aired
06/03/03 - Season 1 Released

actually, NYPD Blue is being resurrected in 06. From what I heard, Sony has season 3 of Charlie's Angels set for April 2006

Night Court

with Dragnet 1967 a possible inclusion although I hope not!

Joan of Arcadia

I would buy the second season of either show but it seems like neither will ever be released.
Sorry. I forgot that only pre 2005 titles were to be listed. Joan came out in 2005 but it seems like it will not see the second season released.

All released prior to 2005:

227 - The Complete 1st Season
American Dreams - Season 1
Apprentice, The - The Complete 1st Season
Barney Miller - The 1st Season
Bernie Mac Show, The - Season 1
Charlie's Angels - The Complete 1st Season (I don't own season 2)
Everwood - The Complete 1st Season
S.W.A.T. - The Complete 1st Season

Joan of Arcadia S1 came out in '05, but I'd be eager for the 2nd season also

Twin Peaks Season 2 is set for sometime in 2006 I believe. Paramount is supposed to be working on the video transfers to get the quality on par with season 1 at this point.

Dynasty - Season 1 (released April 2005)

Fox is apparently coming up with problems for season 2+, hopefully will be resolved.

The 4400 (season 1 released 12/21/04) awaiting season 2
S.W.A.T. (Season 1 released 6/3/03) awaiting season 2
Earth Final Conflict (season 5 released 10/28/03) awaiting season 1 and 2 (yes, S3, S4 and S5 released before S1 and S2)

And this one only misses your criteria by the skin of it's fangs...
Forever Knight (season 2 released 1/4/05) awaiting final season 3

if shows only have one season to go, why not just suck it in and release them? Will season 2 of S.W.A.T seriously be that painful to release?

I've lucked out - only one show has stalled out on the launch pad, and we'll more than likely get a further release in the future: G.I. Joe.

And frankly, even if Joe never sees the light of day again, I've got enough from Season 1 (and the movies) to keep me happy.

Actually - thats not QUITE true. I was collecting the R2 He-Man discs until that series died in the UK. But with the show coming out in the US, I'm good.

Here's mine:

Baretta
Charlie's Angels ( I heard April too, but I'll believe it when I see it)
The Incredible Hulk
Night Court
S.W.A.T.
T.J. Hooker
Starsky & Hutch (once again, until I see an official announcement, it's on the list)
Who's The Boss

In my case, most of my list is Sony.
Lets hope they pick up where they left off with most of these!!
:D
