Automatic Selection AV Selector and Modulator

I have a question about hook ups...I have the switch noted below, because my tv is older...

4x1 Automatic Selection AV Selector and Modulator -
    Features:
4 Sets of Audio/Video/S-Video Input Jacks
1 Set of Audio/Video/S-Video Output Jacks
    1 F-Type Off-Air Input Jack
    1 F-Type Channel ¾ Modulator Output Jack

I have the following a/v equip:

Cox Cable w/out a Cable Box
Mitsu TV (single S Video and 1 set each Composite In/Outs)
    Series 2 Dual Tuner Tivo
JVC A/V receiver (older version w/ no s/video inputs)
    VCR
    DVD

I've messed a bit w/ the connections and can't really track down a diagram...any help is most appreciated...It's possible I've missed the obvious, so let's see...

I want to have the option of running tivo / dvd / and vcr individually w/ stereo sound thru the receiver...and to be able to record to the VCR when necessary for my daughters shows to watch on tapes in her room....

To even start w/..where is the cable split..before I even go into the a/v switch? And is that where I start...or does the cable have to start in the tivo...?? Seems a bit jumbled, but I hope there's help out there...

Hi Mike - here is how I would connect your system. As an alternative, you could choose to run all of the RCA connections directly to the receiver (as opposed to through the AV switch), in which case I would recommend purchasing a Universal Remote.

Also, it's time for you to buy a new receiver!

Thanks for the info and diagram...and yes it is definitely time for the new receiver..and tv for that matter...I remember when spdif and optical was something to be excited about for receiver hook ups...

I'll run this set up and see how we end up...Thanks again...
