My brother has an LCD projector(Epson S1) which has a stuck pixel near the middle of the screen which is a constant green. Do DLP projectors suffer anything similar such as stuck mirror and is it as obvious as an stuck LCD?

DLP projectors are supposed to be stuck mirror free. If you get one that has a stuck mirror, it should be replaced free of charge (which is totally different from LCD which quires a certain number of dead or stuck pixels to warrant an exchange).
