I awoke to find an E-mail on my computer this morning that has me feeling saddened and in a state of shock.
Stu Kobak of the FILMS ON DISC DVD Review magazine, and a good friend of Home Theater Talk since it's inception, passed away early Sunday morning from a heart attack.
I had the pleasure of meeting Stu last year here in Tampa and you could not meet a nicer guy. Stu's love of film and appreciation of the art of film made his webpage a unique stop on the internet. HTT first linked to Stu's place soon after our launch and have been proud to be associated with his fine commentary ever since. His participation there has always been enlightening and informative.
I know you all will join with me in keeping Stu's family in our thoughts. Please, take a moment today to observe some silence in his honor.
Our community has lost a wonderful person and a fine film reviewer in Stu Kobak. His wisdom and humor will be greatly missed by all of us.
    I am truly, truly saddened.
    Mike

    Mike, thank you.

I learned of Stu's passing early this afternoon.

I called Mike Knapp and asked him to post
something on our forum since Mike knew him better
    than most of us.

I remember Stu as being a knowledgeable film
reviewer who always added intelligent insight
to our discussions on this forum.

    He will be missed.

    Thank You again, Mike.

Stu, peace be with you on your new journey!

I hope it's a bit like "What Dreams may Come".

    God bless you.
