Does anyone have any theories as to why some TV
box sets cost more than others?
It couldn't possibly have to do with the quality of the
shows themselves.
One box set of "Angel"(my favorite series) is a critical
favorite as well, and has not reached syndication yet.
It's cost: around $50 for 22 episodes.
One box set of "The X-Files" or "Star Trek TNG",
both have praise and have been syndicated for years.
(TNG is on television almost too often)
Yet a box of 22-26 episodes cost around $100-$200 each, why? because of three or four more episodes?
So why the big differences in price?
