A question regarding preamp outputs and 5.1 channel inputs (1 Viewer)

The question mainly pertains to Denon receivers, but is probably standard for all receivers with 5.1 channel analog inputs. My question is, will a signal that enters the 5.1 channel inputs also be output at the receiver's preamp outputs? If I connect an external amp to my Denon AVR1801, will I be able to use it in conjunction with the 5.1 analog inputs? (mainly the front left/right) Since these inputs bypass all processing, I'm just wondering if they will appear at the preamp outputs. Thanks for any input.
