The AVIA disc has quite a few "tests" that (I do not believe) are available with a simple test tone generated by your receiver. For example, it will check the phase on every speaker, in detail, and provide you with detailed instructions on how to correct this, if any of them come up "out of phase."

Does S&V disc have these test tones as well for checking the phase? Thx..

i have the s&v dvd, but i can't remember of the dvd *specifically* checks phase. i sorta think it does, but don't quote me on that.
it definitely does individual channel id and test tones.
for 18 bucks, it's a pretty good deal.

Just an FYI...Any THX test that's included on many DVD's these days (Toy Story, Star War's etc) includes a Phase Test as well as several other nice tone tests.

Just my .002 cents.

Yes, I have the S&V disc, and it does have the test tones and phase tests.
