Please tell me they are not using that mediocre transfer from the barebones dvd?
This is new anamorphic transfer approved by Joe Dante.
Thats great to hear, it will be almost like watching a new movie!
No ,never had a laserdisc player, so i guess i really am in for a treat.
I think that one of the main reasons Dante wanted the SE put out was to correct the bad picture on the current release. Can't wait for this.

A couple of months ago, I bought "The Howling, SE". I see that it is supposed to be anamorphic, but I'm used to the packaging making that clear. All the packaging says is widescreen. I have an older edition of the same movie and the packaging makes it clear that it is anamorphic.
Did they just goober the packaging?
