Thats great to hear, it will be almost like watching a new movie!
Unless you've already seen the Image SE laserdisc. :) That laserdisc release was the first time that Dante was able to supervise the transfer personally and get the color of the film just the way it was supposed to be. All previous video transfers were incorrect, as was the first MGM DVD. But if you haven't see the laserdisc, you are indeed in for a treat.

I think that one of the main reasons Dante wanted the SE put out was to correct the bad picture on the current release. Can't wait for this.

A couple of months ago, I bought "The Howling, SE". I see that it is supposed to be anamorphic, but I'm used to the packaging making that clear. All the packaging says is widescreen. I have an older edition of the same movie and the packaging makes it clear that it is anamorphic.

Did they just goober the packaging?
