    Knowing how most of the people on this forum are, I'll be glad just to get this thread looked at.

    Anywho, my question is what is the deal about the Neil Young reference in "Sweet Home Alabama"? Was there a feud?

    I believe Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd was offended by the lyrics of Neil Young's Southern Man.

    Yes, that's basically it. But there was never any huge rift between Young and the members of Skynyrd.
