Today I just bought the Indiana Jones WS Gift Set and when I put in The Last Crusade it will be real clear and then fade to a real dark picture within seconds so my question is, is it the tape or is it my VCR? Should I clean the heads or just take the set back? I have had this problem on real old tapes of mine but I just bought this(I bet the tapes are still old nonetheless). Thanks.

    Talk about irritating.

Okay... like I know we don't have Indiana Jones on DVD yet... and that if you really MUST have the set, VHS is the only (affordable) way to get it... but um, coming into the den of anti-VHS people and advertising you bought it seems... um, dangerous! [IMG]
Glad you figured it out though [IMG]

I would like to think that even though we're 100% DVD supporters, we're not against people buying OAR VHS tapes if they want to see a movie, and it's the only way it's available [IMG] I'm not anti-VHS, I'm just pro DVD/OAR

    LOL.

I wasn't even sure if I should of posted a topic regarding VHS but I figured to take a step into the lions den anyway.

Like Kyle said, I got the OAR so that must count for something.

Yes... OAR is the main point... hmm, I didn't even know there was an OAR Indiana Jones box out... or was it Back to the Future... oh well, either way it's VHS to me. I can't watch VHS on my TV, it's worse than cable, and cable's bad enough!! [IMG]

What do you think guys? Should we draw and quarter him or should be put him in the dungeon? LOL [IMG]
Seroiusly, while I never would buy it, I cannot fault someone for buying the VHS widescreen version of these great movies. It's really the only game in town.
Have fun, but I am holding out for the DVDs.
    Regards,
    Dan

I bought the VHS widescreen when it was released and it looks great - for VHS, of course.
