I know this comes out on Sept. 23 but i can't seem to find anything on special features or anything. Does anybody have any idea about the specs?

My e-tailer has informed me the disc has been shipped so I should be enjoying this one fairly soon. [IMG] My wife and I saw this in theaters several times and we just fell in love with this movie.

I'm also looking forward toward the live TV broadcast as well as the deleted scenes. The "Best in Show" deleted scenes contain some hilarious moments (as well as some that should have stayed deleted).

By the way, fans on the East Coast should be on the lookout for the Mighty Wind tour which is blowing your way over the next couple of weeks (presumably to promote the DVD).

Paul, where can I find out more information about the Mighty Windy tour? Mighty Wind is easily my favorite Guest movie.

Also, doesn't it seem odd that there is a Mighty Wind tour on the east coast at the same time that there is a major hurricane about to destory a good portion of North Carolina? Kinda surprised that they don't postpone this, if for no other reason than the name of the tour.

I'm seeing the live show on Sunday and can't wait for the dvd release next week.

Seeing Eugene Levy do his character live should alone make the whole show.

Thanks Colin for the link. Folks in NYC should also look for a couple of shows at the Town Hall.

I'm really envious of those of you going to this. This ensemble cast is just perfect in their individual roles.
Please give us reviews after you see the shows.

Well i looked at ticketmaster and it said the concert was in Upper Darby. I have never left York except this one time so if anybody could tell me if Upper Darby is near Philly? I would really like to see this show.

Holy God, I had no idea they were doing a live show. Seeing that would be a dream come true, as I fell in love with the original music and some of my favorite actors of all-time are featured.

I seldom buy any non-TV-related DVDs, but I enjoyed this movie a lot and the extra features for Guest movies are always well worth buying the DVD for.

Just got my pre-release copy today![IMG]

It's even funnier than I remember in the theater. Haven't seen any supplements yet; just the movie.

Wish I'd known about the Folksmen on Conan![IMG] Anybody know of any other TV appearances?

Just got my copy today and it was the first time that I had seen it. I will say that I enjoyed this more then Best In Show. Last night while watching the Folksmen on Conan I questioned why one was dressed as a woman. Now I know. The commentry on this disc is also I believe the best one so far. They definitly talk more on this one then the other two.

Don't know if it should go here or not, but here's an easter egg for "A Mighty Wind"

    To to Special Features
Use the right arrow, one of the strings will be highlighted
    Select.

5 new scenes/newspaper articles/props and "how they did it" come up [IMG]

I finally got my DVD from DDD (arrived a week late) and all I can say is that it spells "absolutely fantastic" [IMG] (inside joke for those who saw the movie)

The commentary is excellent (and quite funny in places) and the deleted scenes were quite good, especially the addition of two complete songs not visibly in the film (they were the two songs sung over the closing credits).

I really liked the "Complete TV broadcast" footage. It was shot on tape rather than film which gives it a definite look of a live TV broadcast.

One extra not be missed is the "vintage TV" appearance of the Folksmen singing an "electric" song on a late '60's TV show in front of "lava lamps". Words can't describe it, you've gotta see it to believe it.
