    Hi guys,

There was a series that I think aired in the late 80's where a man could become an animal, like a falcon or a shark and he helped people who was in danger and sometimes he was in danger himself I think, If anyone knows this series name or anything, please keep in touch

    Regards/Kris [IMG]

The episode I remember most is when he was sneaking in this attractive woman's apartment and she came in. He had to switch into something non-threatning, so be became a long haired cat. The woman thought he was so cute that she picked him up and held him to her chest. The phone rang and when she answered it, manimal put his head inside the front of her blouse! [IMG] No matter how many cool animals he changed into over the series, that was the best one in my opinion. :b

I liked the ad for Manimal featuring JR Ewing floating on a raft in his pool and Manimal is a shark swimming in the pool who then eats him.

    "Sue Ellen, Momma, Bobby, heeeeeeeelp"

    And while we're at it:

"Rousters gonna sink the Love Boat"

    Manimal!Awsome show!

I rememer one episode he was pushed out of a plane without a parachute so became a hwak then had to change to a snake to save someone from quicksand when he landed.

I also remember an episode where he changed into a horse and some woman was his trainer / rider. The implications of this, as I think back, make me realize why it was possibly cancelled.

I loved watching this show and it wasn't until a few years ago (imdb) that I found out that only a few episodes were made. Would love to get it on DVD.

I've been intrigued by this show for awhile now...never actually seen it, but I would definitely buy it if all the episodes were released in a DVD set. Sounds fun in an 80s cheeseball sorta way. [IMG]

Yeah, I'd enjoy watching this again. Another series that I'd enjoy on DVD is The Misfits of Science.

Looks like George Bush is going to try to outlaw this DVD release.

The only way to circumvent an activist president is to import the DVD from Canada.

    Manimal.
    Super Train.
    Automan.
    The Rousters.
    Pink Lady & Jeff.

    They were innovative.

    They were different.

They were ahead of their time.

    They sucked big time.

    Let's bring 'em all back!

I have snipped the relevant portions below:

From the State of the Union Address:

I thought it was actually alluding to an attempt to block Manimal and other shows similar from being filmed and distributed. But thanks for posting the link.

Are there any other shows similar to Manimal?

I REALLY hope this makes it out somehow. Simon MacCorkindale is the MAN. Or should I say MANIMAL.

MANIMAL! Haha, my manimal story. There is one where he turns into a big black cat, and the way he did it/showed it (for his hand/paw anyway) was he would turn in his fingers and wriggle his hand around (hard to explain) but to this day, I catch myself doing that motion at least every six months :b
