Wicked is very much a modern "theatre kids" production. If you weren't a theatre kid in the 80s and beyond, or had theatre kids during this period, Wicked likely isn't for you. I enjoyed it, but because of the above proviso [my kids were theatre kids during the 00s and 10s, so Wicked was well known].

Finally got around to watching this on Peacock last night. My reaction to the film is the same as my reaction to the Broadway show: A fantastic looking production in the service of a mediocre (at best) musical. The music in this show all sounds like music you would hear in a parody of a Broadway musical.

Also, it was like they hired Jeff Goldblum to do an impression of Jeff Goldblum.

Watched on Peacock. Could have used a lot of cutting in my opinion. Everything seemed to take so long. Songs would start stop start stop. There seemed to be very few story points and they were drawn out. I think every song and story point could have been told in 90 minutes.

When I put the 4K disc in for the second the first few minutes had no sound then later on the image broke apart. The first time I watched the disc was fine. I wouldn't think the disc needed a cleaning this early.
