This is my take FWIW: The first two seasons are really worth viewing, and in my experience/opinion they each conclude their own story arc at the end of each season (provided you watch the season at least twice to catch all the threads you miss the first time through). If I have not watched any of Westworld yet, and am contemplating it, does season four end with all kinds of unresolved issues that will annoy the viewer? Or does it come to some sort of satisfactory conclusion?
So, no, there's no satisfying conclusion, and was never going to be.
Westworld Season 1 is one of the best single-seasons of TV and worth watching even if you never watch subsequent seasons. If I have not watched any of Westworld yet, and am contemplating it, does season four end with all kinds of unresolved issues that will annoy the viewer? Or does it come to some sort of satisfactory conclusion?
Agreed. Needs to not be so cryptic. I give it a 50/50 chance to make season 2. If there is no season two, I will not buy a Blu-ray set. Too frustrating. I need at least 2 good seasons before I plop down my cash for a better transfer than streaming to rewatch.I will just add that The Peripheral (also by the Nolans) seems to be going down this same path.
