As long as I can recall, the undead, and zombies in particular, always seemed to get a bad rap.

Always the bad guy, or gal. Never the pal.

Jonathan Levine's Warm Bodies, which was released theatrically in 2103, as a 2k DI, is back. But returning warmer than ever courtesy of Lionsgate's (Summit) 4k program.

Whether or not Warm Bodies has its basis in Shakespeare, it a interesting take, and an entertaining way to spend 100 minutes.

While the imagery may not be full-blown 4k, it is an upgrade. Whether one decides to replace an existing Blu-ray is a place I'll not go, as your player can do a credible job of upgrading, merely without a bit of HDR.

For those who do not have the film in their library, it's an unusual take on the subject.

Image - 5 (Dolby Vision)

Audio - 5 (Dolby Atmos)

4k - 5

Pass / Fail - Pass

Upgrade - questionable

Just an fyi, for those who hate "black bars" above and below the image, the standard UK bluray is 1.78:1 - opened up without any cropping of the image (open matte). So none of the image is lost- in fact you are getting more- of course not what the Director intended...but may be less of an issue for some for a film of this type.
May be Region 'B' locked tho.
