Thank you for your thoughts about this release. I anticipated this BD release wouldn’t be pristine as I’m just hoping it’s better looking than the German BD I previously purchased.
Well, I got my "Unconquered" Blu-ray and will be watching it tomorrow. I hope it offers a better video presentation than "The Plainsman" Blu-ray which left me a little disappointed.

At first glance, I don't remember the German Blu-ray looking as good on my OLED as this Kino Blu-ray did today. I need to do some exact comparisons between the two Blu-rays to be for certain.

They look about the same to me. I was very happy with the German Blu-ray (& thank god it was a Paramount title & not a Fox title), of course I'd buy a better transfer, but that's not going to happen, is it. As I've posted before, it's my favourite DeMille film, & Howard Da Silva is such a delicious baddie.

Watched this last night. Most of it looked very, very good but I could see what Mr. Harris was talking about. Overall, I thought the colors were excellent but it would have looked even better with some clean-up and a proper recombine. I don't think anyone will not like this release. I never knew indentured bond-servants wore such vivid lipstick, though.
