The Outlaw Josey Wales, Clint Eastwood's fifth directorial production has come to Blu-ray, and it looks terrific.

I'll give no information about the film, other (for those who haven't seen it) that it's a very interesting western, that's far outside the norm.

Warner's new Blu-ray is gorgeous. Terrific color, excellent shadow detail and blacks, along with a stable image that looks much like projected film.

A 1976 production doesn't get much better looking than this.

Highly Recommended.

Does the film contain the original WB logo or the updated "You Must Remember This" Thene and highly obtrusive and pristine current logo?

Same here. I am so glad to read that the transfer is high quality. I've been looking forward to this release ever since it was announced.

Yes, I'd love to know as well. The DIRTY HARRY series on Blu contains the original Warner Communications Co. logos prior to each film.

I've never seen this movie! Looks like I can rectify that with this release! Thanks for the words, as always

I've also never gotten around to this film. Had the dvd but never spinned it. This is a definite pick-up for me. REALLY looking forward to seeing it for the first time, especially in hi-def.

It was good right up until it went all Hippy, 2/3s of the way through. Still, I'll probably pick it up if it reaches the right price.

Mr. Harris, that´s odd because Cameron Yee said in his review here, that German sound is on the disc.

Anyway, I ordered the disc......

He may be correct. I merely checked the packaging.
