I'd like to be able to say that Simon West's 1999 The General's Daughter is a taught, military base thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, but I can't
It's a nicely made, released here in 4k via Kino from a Paramount image harvest that gives you every bit of detail in the OCN.
Color, grain structure, black levels (Dolby Vision) are all top drawer, and the 5.1 DTS-HD MA track is proscenium filling.
Probably for John Travolta completists.
I wish more important films were always given this superior treatment.
Image (Dolby Vision)
Forensic - 10
NSD - 10
Audio – 10 (DTS-HD MA 5.1)
Pass / Fail – Pass
Plays nicely with projectors - Yes
Makes use of and works well in 4k - 9
Upgrade from Blu-ray - Yes
Worth your attention - 5
Slipcover rating - 2
Looks like Film - 10
