Succession is an HBO series (WB) that is being released by Warner on Blu-ray, the ultimate broadcast format for the series.
Shot on film, and finished in 4k, this 12-disc set, is beautifully packaged in a space-saving case, that's right around the 35mm mark in thickness, and has a solid encapsulating heft.
I'd only seen a couple of episodes, and this release beautifully represents what I saw on my 4k OLED, now being up-rezzed in projection.
Color and definition is superb.
For fans of the series, which ran over four seasons, this will certainly be the way to own it in physical media as it's currently stressing at around $85, and that may come down a bit.
The series was the winner of 19 Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to a myriad of other tech and fan tributes.
There are other series in the offing - Friends and West Wing - on Blu-ray, which I waiting to see before I opine for quality, but Succession is a stand-out.
