Jonathan Levine's Snatched is promoted as a comedy. It stars Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn, and concerns a trip to South America (shot in Hawaii), that goes awry.

It was nicely shot by Florian Ballhaus. Fox's new 4k UHD release with HDR, gives Schumer's "tit," when it escapes from her blouse, both brilliant brights, as well as deeper darks, allowing for a very realistic nipple, with superb shadow detail. The whole "tit" thing is a running gag, that isn't funny the first time.

Not there is anything wrong with HDR, but I've seen it used better.

As a film, Snatched falls flatter than a pancake.

But that 4k UHD release, with HDR is lovely to behold.

The majority of new 4k releases are usually planned before a film hits the public, so we get what we get.

Audio is DTS-HD MA 7.1, and I may have noted one occurrence of sound coming from the side or rear channels.

For those who have need to see Schumer's right breast, the film is a must own.

To the rest of the home theater public...

Has there ever been a 'FAIL', RAH?

Far too many, but understand that Fails are technical, not for content.

I may personally like or dislike a production, but generally my rating structure is based upon overall quality. Better films will receive a "recommended," or higher rating.

Others will receive no recommendation, or may receive a Not Recommended solely based upon the quality of the disc.

Well I'm glad I asked because, having been out of the Blu-ray loop for a while, I just learned there were proper versions of Patton and Spartacus released (which I, of course, immediately ordered).

Thank you!
