So you think that's the same as removing visible wires from an older movie or even the snake reflection in Raiders?

It's always been that way on North by Northwest.I'd still like to know why the MGM logo is in green. Maybe I missed the explanation.
Maybe they were going for a sort of 3D effect with the exaggerated shadows?I always assumed Bass filmed the logo through a cut out stencil of the words and filmstrip ribbon and they simply weren't properly aligned.
Same reason why the Warner Bros. logo was adorned w bling for Baz’s Elvis. It's always been that way on North by Northwest.
Hitchcock was not one to accept a studio's generic logo. He generally modified and controlled making them part of the main title sequence.I'd still like to know why the MGM logo is in green. Maybe I missed the explanation.
One of my favorite "modifications" to an opening logo is what Paramount/DeMille did for the opening of The Ten Commandments (1956 of course.). It gives me goosebumps...Hitchcock was not one to accept a studio's generic logo. He generally modified and controlled making them part of the main title sequence.

The one for Aurens was painted for especially for the movie because Columbia didn’t have a 65MM variant if I am correct. You would know RAH. But Columbia always had fun with that lady, my personal favorite is when she dances during the opening of Thank God It’s Friday. It was beautifully done. Classy & elegant.
On a more fun side, there’s Cat Ballou, which is neither Hitch nor DeMille.
Then, of course, there’s Aurens.
And.... Who could forget.... Zotz!It was beautifully done. Classy & elegant.

I remember my first viewing of the film, at a college showing of a 16mm print. The scene at the top of Mt. Rushmore showed the top edge of the backdrop and studio lights, very starkly betraying the fact it was filmed onstage and not at a real location. (I was always puzzled by things like boom mikes, clothing appearing on "nude" characters, etc., when seeing 16mm and TV screenings, before I learned how films were made and intended to be projected in theaters.)Original 16mm prints, the set was revealed in the close-ups on the ground in the cropduster sequence.
Now when is that going to come out on Blu RayAnd.... Who could forget.... Zotz!
Go for broke! Nothing less than a 4K release will do.Now when is that going to come out on Blu Ray
When they develop a way of sticking buzzers under your couch. Now when is that going to come out on Blu Ray

Nope:And what was the Paramount where the mountain was replaced my Mount Fujiyama? Was it The Geisha Boy?
Since VHS quality wasn't good enough...
