In the Line of Fire, the 1993 thriller, directed by Wolfgang Petersen, and starring Clint Eastwood has been released by Sony.

Like any production from Columbia, there's little to discuss about its quality. One would presume that all is well with Mr. Crisp and his team at the helm, and so it is.

An impeccably harvested image, and audio with the extra layer of Dolby Atmos create a superb version of the film for home theaters.

One of the pleasure of this film is Mr. Eastwood's nemesis, taking several pages from the Alex Guinness book of multiple characters, is an absolutely cringe-worthy performance by John Malkovich - and I mean that in the most positive way. He's brilliant.

For those who may have missed this film, you're in for a treat.

Editing is decently handled by one Anne V. Coates, for whom this was not her first rodeo.

Image – 5

Audio – 5 (Dolby Atmos)

Pass / Fail – Pass

Plays nicely with projectors - Yes

Very Highly Recommended

very good movie
very good picture harvest
very good principal photography

The result is another Sony title that can be used to demonstrate how good 35mm can look on UHD.
