Season 3 of House of Cards continues. Shot in 4k with a Red, and presented at a 2:1 aspect ratio, this isn't your normal TV show. Nor is its distribution pattern.
Great series, of which nothing needs to be mentioned, as it's all be covered elsewhere.
One tech note however, as it became obvious while viewing S3.
Unlike the majority of other series, which are extremely dependent, usually for budgetary reasons, upon hand-held cameras, it seems that virtually every shot in House of Cards in mounted, usually on a dolly.
Expensive, time consuming, and eminently professional.
While I'm not a fan of the color scheme, one gets used to it. More or less, and I accept it for whatever the rationale happens to be.
