Received my copy today and watched it as it is a film I’ve never seen. Enjoyed it a lot! Some nice extra features included as well. No slipcover on my copy, guess I’ll request one. I really enjoyed the cast, and not just the featured stars.

That's really cool David! Did you use original poster art for all the covers?
For the most part.
Sometimes, I've had to do some slight alterations to get the image to fit the Blu-Ray cover template (moving part of the text or image a little to fit)

For this High Society, it was originally a foreign poster, so I replaced the title with english (the original poster was "La Haute Societe")

I only found that poster art for High Society in another language and just thought that I did not look long enough for the English version, so you must have done a good job! On closer inspection I also notice the little trick where your custom cover for the DVDs mimics a Blu-ray - took some zooming in on the picture to find out what you did there :)

Watched my copy of "High Society" last night and was blown away by how great the picture looked but the sound quality - possibly one of the best mixes I have heard and it sounded terrific on my 5.1 sound system. This has never been one of my favourite musicals but I saw (and heard) it last night with joy in my heart. VistaVision rules!

Not mentioned so far is that the chapter stops on this title are done right - they take you exactly to the start of each and every musical number, rather than the beginning of the scene with reams of dialogue setting up the songs (as has been done on several musicals).

After traveling for a few weeks, I returned home and my High Society 4K had arrived. Finally threw the disc in tonight and boy was it gorgeous. I have had a VHS, Laserdisc, DVD, but none of those was anything like what I saw and heard tonight. Kudos to WAC for this exceptional release.

While the picture quality of High Society on the 4K disc is as all have commented "breathtaking", my favorite sequence "True Love" (the portion on the boat) has been retimed as a night shot instead of the brilliant look it had on That's Entertainment and the DVD. Daylight timed samples from the sequence can be seen on the 4K bonus features in the full daylight color as exhibited in the past.
Does anyone know if the scene as originally processed for VistaVision was intended as a night shot and then changed for That's Entertainment, or is the new 4K in error?
To me it's disappointing as the song is a highlight and it has been drained of the visual punch I am used to. I haven't yet checked the included BR to see if it's timed the same way.

The broadcast on TCM looks like a night scene.
