I'd never heard of Kate Quillevere's Heal the Living until it was announced for Blu-ray by Cohen Media Group, and took a shot at it.
I'm very pleased that I did.
It's a delicate little film, based upon the novel, The Heart, by Maylis de Kerangal. The film is, at least to me, almost more of a tone poem. Dialogue, which is in French, with English subs, is extremely sparse.
The film is controlled by acting, direction, and cinematography, and in that way is far more cinema than a movie.
A bit like a river, its various plot points wander, and then come together, in brilliant ways.
Shot digitally on a Red Epic, the Blu-ray sports a lovely image. Audio is DTS-HD MA 5.1.
Emmanuelle Seigner is brilliant.
Trust me on this one.
Grab a copy and watch it. And don't let sous-titres frighten you away.

Audio - 5 (DTS-HD MA 5.1)
4k Up-rez - 5
Pass / Fail - Pass
Very Highly Recommended
