Having viewed Steven Soderbergh's No Sudden Move and Bill Duke's Deep Cover within a few days of one another, I ended up contrasting and comparing, and then realized that Mr. Duke was seen in Mr. Soderbergh's drama.

Both follow a person or persons falling down the proverbial wabbit hole. One occurrence leads to another - people trustworthy or not move the action forward.

The lead performance in Mr. Duke's film, a violent, sometimes gut-wrenching drama about a good cop sent to work the underbelly of society, is a magnificent performance by Laurence Fishbourne, credited herein, possibly for the final time as Larry.

Make no mistake, the gentleman deserves the respect that Laurence brings with it as a moniker.

Shot on film way back in 1991, Criterion is offering a new Blu-ray via Warner Bros., finally replacing the New Line DVD from back in 1999.

Criterion's Blu is beautifully rendered, with brilliant colors, and a sheen of extremely light either grain or noise - can't really discern which. Some shots actually appear to highly resolved, but seated normally, as is well.

Audio is two-track stereo, and it works just fine, as it has since 1977.

I think you have some editing to do there, RAH.
Ask any GenXer Star Wars IV: A New Hope (TM LucasFilm LTD) was the first stereo film ever to be released ;)! Also the US invented film, animation and color :D! (Per the dude talking with his friend at Target under the subject "There's one thing you can't take away from the United States of America!")
