There had been better disaster thrillers before Rob Cohen's 1996 Daylight, a film about as formulaic as they come -

but still fun.

Why do we suppose that Mr. Stallone was available to save the day, having encyclopedic knowledge of the Holland Tunnel. For those unaware, the Holland Tunnel is, strangely, not in Holland.

Kino is presenting the new 4k of the Universal film, and like several other recent 4k releases, things seem to be very on-track for high quality.

This is a beautiful disc, in Dolby Vision, with a terrific DTS-HD MA 5.1 track.

A fun action / adventure film, presumably thought of by the foreign press as a musical / comedy.

All's well.
