Arrow Films has selected an interesting line-up for their first foray into Region A.  One of the more interesting, especially for Italian "oater" fans will be Day of Anger, with Lee Van Clef in the lead.

Originally released (at least in NY) ran as the bottom half of a double bill along with the Japanese Sci-fi Latitude Zero.

There were more of these films during the '60s than one could shake a stick at.  With just a few doing well in distribution here in the US, they were churned out cheaply, and generally packaged along with the films that were more desirable.  Anyone for Duck You Sucker IV - Revenge of the Bad Guys?

Restored in 2k from original 2-perf negatives, Day of Anger looks superb.

Color, densities, grain structure, black levels all look fine, in some ways belying the film's tech roots.

Image - 4.75

Audio - 5 (Not a fan of post-sync dx, but it is, what it is)

Pass / Fail - Pass

While this B level production may not be to everyone's taste, it will be applauded by those who love the genre, and the overall quality, along with extra, makes it a welcome addition to domestic Blu-ray releases.
