I've got to be honest. I had no idea that Companion, a WB film from Drew Hancock, existed. Somehow it got by me.

Never heard anything about it.

Shot digitally, with an Arri Alexa 35, the imagery as represented in this 4k UHD release is beautifully rendered.

Took me a bit of time to try to figure out what I was watching, but it seems to be a horror / satire (comedy?).

Love the prologue which sets everything in play.

I'll go no further.

Looks great in 4k.

Sound great.

For slipcover addicts, this is a nice one, and may become a highly prized collectible if it doesn't go beyond the first printing. A digitally rendered, an image of Sophie Thatcher in hyper-realistic mode, with muted colors printed over a metallic background.

Image (Dolby Vision)

Forensic - 10
NSD - 10

Audio – 10 (Dolby Atmos)

Pass / Fail – Pass

Plays nicely with projectors - Yes

Makes use of and works well in 4k - 8.5

Worth your attention - Sure

Slipcover rating - 6

Looks like Film - n/a

To be fair, the ‘twist’ is pretty obvious right from the opening scenes, and even the first shot if you’ve seen one of the film’s obvious inspirations.

Yeah but the reveal is somewhat deep into the movie so it would seem like the folks that made the movie intended it to be a surprise rather than something shown in the trailer.
