Based upon the play by William Inge, Daniel Mann's 1952 Come Back, Little Sheba, has arrived from Paramount via Kino, and it's a beautiful Blu-ray.
There are four stars in this film:
Burt Lancaster, Shirley Booth (in her original Broadway role), Terry Moore...
and James Wong Howe's beautiful black & white cinematography, that has been gorgeously rendered here.
Only oddity that I noted is the still frame main title sequence, with proper dissolves, but it appears to possibly have been replace aeons ago, as there is no original grain movement. It appears to be the transfer elements, and nothing to do with the image harvest. Not a problem. Simply odd.
A superb film, from a classic Broadway drama, brought to the screen in top form.
Possibly not for the Marvel Universe audience.
