Discs 1 and 2 wouldn't stay attached to the hubs on the swing-out holder so I took that out and threw it away along with the cardboard carton and the doll and put the discs in tyvek disc sleeves. Without that non-functional center holder they fit in the case just fine.

That's a known issue, even a well-known issue, actually. Here's the skinny on that:

https://cartoonresearch.com/index.php/pianist-envy/

I've always found a lot of stylistic and (nasty) personality parallels between Friz Freleng at Warner, and Jeffrey Katzenberg at Dreamworks, who "didn't steal" Disney movies about ants, Aztecs or horses, and had "never seen" Japanese anime before adapting "Shakespeare" for Disney.
FMM, both are guilty as the days are long.

Yup, the box o'stuff era has come & gone. To us collectors, it's all about the shelf space these days :)

One of my first sentimental pride-'n-joy big Blu-ray purchases, back in the early-adopter 00's before Warner gave up hope on retail, was their "Hogwarts trunk", with "textbooks" of Harry Potter 1-5.

And when organizing my shelf years later, I wondered why I was still holding onto it, when I could get all eight movies in a nice little multi-disk case.
The honeymoon era is over, and everyday life has set in. :(

I had to look up what a funko is.

funko still sounds like something that happens to a pair of hiking boots after a three day long weekend trek through the
Appalachian Trail.

So after todays Warner Archive announcements, another great short will be seeing it's HD release Operation : Rabbit

Wile E. Coyote Super Genius doesn't get much better

I was informed the name of the of the company is pronounced "Fun-KOH!" Removing them from their boxes decreases the value ...

I want to order this, but I’ve been a little gun shy to pull the trigger. I’ve been waiting for the replacement disc for missing audio on The Flintstones set. I don’t even know if they got my request. And I also requested a replacement disc for the missing mono track on the Psycho disc in the Alfred Hitchcock collection set. Seems like quite a coincidence of recent problems with sets so it made me a little worried. Probably COVID related.

So far, this set seems to be free of those audio and other issues. I don‘t think any of the past Looney Tunes and Golden Collections DVD and blu rays have had any problems, they’ve been good. So that’s a good sign.

Apparently, WB had to be talked into making the set what is it. What they really wanted to do was just make a Blu-Ray version of this DVD, because they thought the Funko was the thing that was going to entice collectors.

Between this, the Platinum and Golden Collections and HBO Max, almost every Bugs short that's not blatantly racist has been restored in HD and is ready to go for a release.
The Golden Collections, other than some of the later volumes having a tendency to have self destructing DVDs
a-la nearly ALL WB US HD-DVDs, were a lot of fun and it was too bad WB killed the series. They have a nice assortment of all LT characters on each set and is a nice balance compared to separate sets for each character. I suspect a bean counter somewhere realized if they kept it up, they would not sell as many other future repackaged collections once fans had them all. I understand many are now considered politically incorrect that were either on the old Laserdisc sets or the DVD's but they should be included with the proper context instead of pretending that they do not exist. I am sort of surprised no one at WB ever considered a series like the old Disney Treasures. Then again this IS WB we are talking about.

This was a Prime Day deal yesterday. My copy arrived today, even though I selected slow shipping. The box with the Funko figurine is now on the top shelf of my closet while the Blu-ray case is with my movie collection. The digital code has expired and won't redeem.

Don't feel bad, about a month ago, I noticed my digital code expired too, and I had that damn Blu-ray since it was released in 2020.

I don't recall WB codes expiring before. I obtained the 50 blu ray Best of set years after it's release for the WB 90th Anniversary with a coupon code that had an expiration date that expired but the code worked fine. This is very disappointing. Before, the only concern was getting a WB disc after they stopped including the digital code insert. By the way, the Bugs Bunny code redeemed the shorts as TV shows instead of movies so they don't link through Movies Anywhere to iTunes.
