Adaptation, which is now twenty years-old is one of those films that is best not described, as living though the film is one of its pleasures.

Much of this probably goes to writers Charlie & Donald Kaufman, but we also need to include director Spike Jonze. It's one of those wonderfully special triumvirates.

Coming from Columbia (Sony), viewers should know going in that this 4k UHD will be totally film-like, and there are no surprises.

It's a glorious 4k version of the film.

My recommendation, just grab a copy, enjoy - and DO NOT read reviews in advance.

Image – 5 (Dolby Vision)

Audio – 5 (Dolby Atmos)

Pass / Fail – Pass

Plays nicely with projectors - Yes

Makes use of and works well in 4k - 4.25

Upgrade from Blu-ray - Yes

Highly Recommended

It may be time to revisit this film. I thought it was great but haven't seen it since its original release.

One of the more original films, of the type no one dares finance anymore. Far too witty and intelligent for a huge portion of today's audiences, over whose head this would almost certainly go.
