Clearing the underlying rights to Hobbs & Shaw must have been a Herculean task.

With Warner Bros controlling the DC Universe, Disney with Marvel, and Sony with a bit of Spider-Man, I can only surmise that it came down to Disney's recent purchase of Fox to free the Hobbs character, possible with permission of the Koster estate.

The list of exec producers and producers is impressive, especially for what is essentially a two hour live-action Saturday morning cartoon.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, as there are certainly some fun action sequences. Think Mr. Bunny and Mr. Coyote at their wackiest, which I guess is where Fast and Furry-ous comes into play.

Vanessa Kirby is a stalwart heroine, and her eyelashes are never out of place.

As a 4k disc, image and audio are superb, even though the film was completed as 2k.

    Audio – 5 (Dolby Atmos)

I've not been much of a fan of the "F&F" movies but I thought this one was fun. Utterly absurd but enjoyable.

Good chemistry between Johnson and Statham, and Elba makes a great nemesis.

Also thought the 4K improved noticeable on the BD...

HDR is a help on this one. Very good looking presentation.

I also thought sharpness got a boost. It's not massive, but it's there, like on "Lion King" - objects at a distance gain definition...
