The brothers Coen continue to create fine, occasionally startlingly unusual films. While not everyone agrees how successful each is, there seems to be an agreement about Fargo, as an unquestionable modern classic of dark humor.

Arriving on Blu-ray, this 1996 production seems to have all of its color and densities in place, and presents a pleasant albeit slightly electronic image.

A must for any serious home theater collection.

Robert, the screenshots on DVDBeaver showed an (to me) excessive amount of edge enhancement. I know those can give the wrong impression, but I was wondering, how noticable was it on your screen?

Wasn't it a rule of thumb like 1.5 times the size of your screen?

But thanks, Mr. Harris. That's all I wanted to know

. I guess I will be buying this after all.

If it's good enough for RAH (despite the very slight reservation about the "electronic image"), it's probably good enough for me (and my 61" DLP RPTV). I didn't really see anything particularly objectionable from the screencaps on DVDBeaver anyway.

Thanks again, RAH...
