Booksmart is a sweet little indie by a freshman director named Olivia Wilde.
In some ways, it seems to be the antithesis of some of John Hughes work, most notably, The Breakfast Club.
It involves two high school senior girls about to graduate and make their way in the world, who discover, at the very last moment that their years of serious study and lack of partying may have been the wrong way to go.
And it's time to make up for that lost time.
It's a poignant, introspective tale that's worth your attention.
Kaitlin Dever and Beanie Feldstein have the leads.
Great, huge soundtrack.
