In their continuing offering of original Vestron productions, Lionsgate is releasing spine numbers 15 and 16, Beyond Re-Animator (2003), directed by Brian Yuzna, and Dagon (2001), Directed by Stuart Gordon.

Interestingly, more for the former than the latter, both were shot in Spain.

Both have been meticulously handled by Lionsgate, which has been treating their Vestron label, as others might treat Academy Award winning films.

And that's a very good thing, especially for fans, who will revel in the myriad of extras.

Both are beautifully crafted Blu-rays, which belie their low-budget status.

Both were originally Dolby mixes, are are reproduced with lovely results via DTS-HD MA 5.1.

Dagon was an ancient Phillistine god. Interesting that name was chosen. Never seen the film, but cool nonetheless.

I have the DVD that I've watched a couple times. Might be interested in an upgrade at the right price.
