BD arrived today. Watching it now. Definitely an upgrade from the DVD, but nothing spectacular. Certainly not in the same league as paramount’s transfers of El Dorado, Shane or Gunfight At OK Coral

Watch it there cowboy;) as some people had issues with the El Dorado Blu-ray.:D

I thought El Dorado looked nice as well. It's one of my Wayne favorites.

That picture reminds me of that James Caan story in which he was ready to tangle with the Duke because he kept getting him in trouble with Hawks and Mitchum had to intervene before Caan got in serious trouble.

If I remember correctly, some people thought the El Dorado BD was too scrubbed. I thought it looked fine. Also, I agree with you about "The Sons of Katie Elder" BD, it's an average looking BD that is an improvement over the DVD.
Isn’t El Dorado the one many thought was too brown? It was fine by me.
