1. Can you record one program while watching another?
2. Can you record more than 1 program at a time?
3. How much recording time does the receiver allow?
4. Can you record a program while playing a recorded event?

1. No. You can only watch what is being recorded, or things you have previously recorded.

2. No. One tuner = one channel

3. Roughly 30 hours. The recorded menu will tell you aproximatly how many hours recording time you have left. (I've never filled mine up on a year).

4. Yes, While recording, you can playback anything already recorded.

Dish is working on a dual-tuner machine called the 701 that takes 2 coax feeds from your dish, but you can record one station and watch any other.

I think you will love your PVR. Of all my HT toys, this is the only one I have ever heard my wife brag about to other people.

It's called the PVR721. It's $399 (complete system) for new subscribers or $549 (receiver only) for existing subscribers.
