Absolutely amazing movie. Very topical. About media and conspiracy theories. How something clear could go completely insane. Highly recommended.

Meryl Streep has won many awards, but her performance in this film won her the only Best Actress prize at Cannes that she has in her collection.

Growing up in Australia, the Chamberlains' story was as big as it gets. I do prefer the original title (from the book), Evil Angels, an apt metaphor for the press and public. A Cry in the Dark is more literal. (On a similar vein, I much prefer the original book title for Schindler's List, "Schindler's Ark". The symbolism behind "Ark" is powerful.)
