This is where it gets puzzling ... my understanding is that all dLP projectors are native progressive displays (In fact I'm certain of it). Thus, 1080i gets converted to progressive (i.e. de-interlaced) somehow ... it seems the Faroudja Chip would be the natural way to do this. However, The FAQ states otherwise.

100% my question as written above. I thought 1080i would mean an interlaced signal and DLP projectors being progressive devices, how does the X1 handle the 1080i signal without using DCDi
