I am getting ready to run wiring for a sub-panel for my basement and then the wiring for the basement itself. I have a couple questions before I do, though:

    1) How many amps can I run through a 75ft run of 6/3 wire? I've seen things saying anywhere between 50-60 Amps, but nothing definitive.

    2) I'm planning on 2 dedicated 20 Amp circuits for my HT equipment. I can run standard equipment on a 20 Amp circuit, correct?

I wouldnt let any more than 40amps 120volts through #6 copper at that distance. You could get some voltage drop if more than that is being drawn. You can get 60amps out of #4
