Hi guys. Just thought I'd share some of the cooler trailers I've seen online recently.
28 Days Later - Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) directs this eerie-looking apocalypse movie. I know very little about this one so far, and I'd like to keep it that way!

Adaptation - Long-awaited by those with good taste, this one reteams director Spike Jonze and screenwriter Charlie Kaufman. (Both of Being John Malkovich.) It stars Nicolas Cage (in a dual role), Meryl Streep, Chris Cooper, and the usually overlooked Ron Livingston. I cannot wait to see this movie!

Ghost Ship - Most modern horror movies suck, yet I get suckered in every time. [IMG]

Die Another Day = Didn't like the last few Bond flicks, but this is a rock-solid trailer.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - I think this one's a sequel or something. (This is trailer #2 I believe.)

The Rules of Attraction - Damn, this looks like an intriguing little oddball flick.

Punch-Drunk Love - Unkind rumblings about this flick from a certain Canadian film festival, but I'm still fairly psyched for this movie.

House of the Dead - Awww, yeahhhhhhh [IMG]

Phone Booth - After this movie hits, I bet it will be OK to like Schumacher again.

Comedian - Brilliant trailer for the upcoming Jerry Seinfeld concert/documentary movie.

Spirited Away - Cuz I know so many people are looking forward to this one.

Thanks for the list Scott, I didn't know about Adaptation before. It looks fantastic and seeing the early reviews of script and movie make my mouth water.

28 Days looks interesting. Danny Boyle has gone steadily downhill since Trainspotting. I'm hoping that this film will be a comeback.

28 Days Later - That's the one where only people left on earth are Sandra Bullock and a bunch of rehab types?
    Good stable of films there.[IMG]

Re: Phone Booth. They said that after "Tigerland." Which was good. And I still hate Schumacher. Stupid Batman nippes....(/grumble).

Phone Booth does look really good. Hard to tell from the trailer, but Colin Farrel's acting didn't look too promising. I hope in the film itself, it doesn't come across so cheesy.
Comedian...well, hard to get a grip on what that film is going to be like from the trailer [IMG]. Brilliant! "In a land....before time"

Anyone notice that the phone booth in said movie had a "Bell Atlantic" logo. I wonder if that's going to be in the film, since they don't exist anymore. (Also, considering that they had to dig up a phone booth from somewhere, since they don't exist anymore.)

Adaptation - I really enjoyed the sequence where Kaufman was saying he was not going to put guns/chases/conflict in his screenplay and they show all of those points from the actual movie.
Die Another Day - They missed out on "Bond, James Bond" but otherwise everything looks great. Classic odd villians and an Ice Castle. An Ice Castle people!
Rules of Attraction - Clockwork Orange! Can't wait.
Phone Booth - Give Joel a budget and he will waste our time. Don't give Jeol any budget and he will make good cinema. Phone Booth is good cinema.
Spirited Away - I refuse to watch any trailers/promotion for this one. I am going in knowing nothing.

I'm looking forward to Punch-Drunk Love, Spirited Away, and Die Another Day. Some of the others look like I might enjoy them, but I'm not so sure I really want to spend my money to go see them when I can wait a while and either rent them, see them on TV, or watch them at a friend's house.

BTW, House of the Dead looks plain awful! If not for the fact that it's absolutely nothing like the game, then because it just looks really bad.

Chalk me up as another person who is very highly anticipating 28 DAYS LATER, which sound like it will turn out to be a truly epic zombie/apocalypse movie from everything I've read and seen! Can't bloody wait!
I also really wanna see PHONE BOOTH!

Oscar talk has been kicked lightly around concerning Adaptation. The trailer only seems to verify its potential. I have been following the development on this one and am familiar with the very quirky premise. Looks good.

Ghost Ship looks to be a lot like Event Horizon (which could be a good thing).

I keep hoping Boyle has another hit. I was thinking that 28 Days Later was going to be more like Omega Man/Last Man on Earth/etc but upcomingmovies says more like King's The Stand. Could be good, could be bad.

Potter 2 looks indentical to the first one, which would be a good enough thing for me. I'll be seeing it.

Phone Booth is a maybe to me as well. Could be good, but there is plenty of room for cheese in that premise (with Schuey involved).

House of the Dead looks wretched I think.

I'm not a huge PTA fan, but I do find his work interesting (though sometimes a tad drawn out which becomes annoying). However, I think PDLove is just going to be too quirky to put it in the running for an Oscar.

RE: Phone Booth, it looks like that one has to get past the film's plot holes and suspension of disbelief to enjoy the film.
