This better be the truth. Don't lie to me like I'm Montel Williams; I'm not Montel Williams!
I cant wait....
Don't worry, it came right from the fingers of A&E's PR company.
I thought it was great news as well. It's nice to see A&E releasing some newer shows, and ones that aren't Gerry Anderson shows. Don't get me wrong, I like the older shows, it's just nice to see a company breaking new ground.
And A&E is a great studio to release these. Especially Since Deep Discount discounts their sets Heavily. I hope they were able to get full music clearances and the shows will be intact with all the music. I Can't Wait Seasons 1-6 will be mine. (Maybe someone will buy Me the stinky seventh season for a present I still have'nt seen all of those or that Homicide Movie either)
Wonderful! One of the best shows ever! (But a more specific thread title might be warranted! Almost didn't look except I felt compassion for why you were crying.)
edit -- I see over 500 compassionate souls have already read it, anyway!
I will most definitely buy at least the first 2 seasons.
I'm sold on all of them, even if they are bare bones.
I'd reccomend the whole series to anyone who has not watched it, and the first season is a must own for anyone who enjoys Cop drama.
Now I can finally retire my tapes, and IMHO, season 7 was still better than 95% of the other shows on TV that year!
I hope it comes out in time for my dad's birthday so I can buy him one.
I guess noone cared about the Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman announcement that Gord posted at the same time...
I can't wait. I only saw the first three seasons before Uncle Sam sent me overseas. The best cop show I've seen.
Very, very exciting announcement. The fact that the first two, albeit, short seasons are being packaged together is fantastic. As someone stated earlier, even if it is a barebones release, I can finally retire my worn out VHS tapes I made from Bravo in the late 90s.
They probably should have combined the first two seasons. Oops! My mistake, they did! The first season had 9 episodes the second 4.
Going away now...
I have a friend that is the son of the Detective the Ned Beatty character is based on and that is the only reason I watched the show initially. I got hooked, especially on Andre Braugher's performances and became a huge fan of the series. This is great news. Thanks for the heads up on this one.
Now all I need is a good recipe for scrapple, and I'll be able to celebrate properly.
A rather high price ($69.95 msrp) for 13 episodes. I'll pay it anyway, quality trumps quantity every time.
I will buy the whole series. Now if the powers that be would release Boomtown as well.
Well Boomtown is still in it's first season. I guess the retail isn't bad if you compare it to something like Six feet Under or the Sopranos , but I was hoping it would come in around the price of NYPD Blue. Still I'll find a good deal on it and it's mine !
