I have the AVR 5800 from DENON, a DVD RP-91 from Panasonic, klipsh RF-3, RC-3, and 4 RS-3 for surround. my question is how to decode 96Hz/24Bit material like the opening credits sequence on the Seven DVD. Thanks in advace for your reply.

Nestor, I have the same DVD player and Receiver as you. In order to decode the 24/96 track on the se7en DVD all you have to do is switch it to Direct or Pure Direct from DD, DTS or THX (depending on which one you use with movie soundtracks).
The 24/96 track is a stereo track which is why you need to switch it to Direct or Pure Direct which basically switches it into stereo mode. If your in auto mode the 5800 will automatically realize that the digital signal is a 24/96 PCM track instead of a DD or DTS track.
