9600XT or 9500PRO (1 Viewer)

OK I've done my homework and I'm still not sure what to do. The clock speed on the ATI 9600XT is faster than the 9500PRO but the 9500PRO is equal to a 9800PRO a far as having 8 pixel pipelines, compared to the 9600XT which only has 4. Many reviews have said that the 9600XT is a great card but still can't match the fill rate of the 9500PRO.
If anyone can help please do.

Seems the 9600XT takes a plunge when you play at higher resolutions, like 1600x1200 (if you ever play that high).

Seems like it would be safe to go with whichever is cheaper.

Are the 9500 Pro, 9600 Pro and 9600 XT cards available where you are? What's the price difference between them? And will you really play games at 1600x1200 resolution all the time? At lower resolutions, the 9600 XT is a very decent card. Also, Half-Life 2 is offered with it at no extra charge (not bundled though, it's shipped by mail).
