I had a lady come and clean my disaster for a house. I left my equipment on for her and I thought everything would be ok. I get home that night and turn on my receiver and it starts flashing "PROTECTOR". The shoddy owners manual has no legend for error codes.
One by one I checked every speaker connector... I checked the voltage in the outlet. Nothing.
Please advise. I am at wits end!

Back to the top... I hope someone has an easy answer because I don't want to have to box this thing up and do without for weeks.

Double check that there are no shorts in the speaker wire... maybe a stray strand of wire near the terminals, etc.
Could it be that the cleaning person sprayed an aerosol cleaner onto (potentially into) the top of the receiver, ran the vacuum cleaner over the speaker wires, or turned the receiver up really loud?

I had the same problem, it was the speaker wire. They were touching which created a short, so the receiver went into protection mode.
