Why didn't Fox put an episode or 2 from the tv series as a bonus feature? I know the series didn't do so well but it went through so many changes. There are enough episodes to fill a few box-sets.

They had a bunch of bonus features on the "Sexist, Egotistical, Lying, Hypocritical Bigot Edition" but they didn't use any episodes from the series. In fact, with the upcoming Broadway musical, I'm surprised they haven't announced more to coincide with the movie and show.

Does anyone know if anything is in the works?

Well if the musical actually makes it successfully on Broadway (the Los Angeles reviews have been lukewarm), then obviously the studio's gonna want more 9to5 product to put in stores. And they'll have it--about 125 episodes worth (or so)

9 to 5, the TV series, started strongly on ABC then dropped like a rock. What happened? ABC has been known to interfere with hits to their detriment (Mork and Mindy, for instance). Then they brought it back in syndication three years later with a completely new cast.

Only Warner Bros. has shown a strong tendency to release TV tie-ins on their movie releases (e.g. BLAZING SADDLES, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL); this is a Fox title.
