1. One of my local WalMarts has an interesting sale this week on WB 2-disc sets.

Recent WB collector sets are the biggest surprise...

    - All the President's Men (2-disc)
    - Batman (2-disc)
    - Batman Returns (2-disc)
    - Purple Rain (2-disc)
    - Malcom X (2-disc)
    - Amadeus (2-disc)
    - Batman Forever (2-disc)
    - Batman & Robin (2-disc)

My BJs Wholesale Club is having the same kind of sale on those titles. VERY tempting. Magnolia and Se7en (2-discs both) were also in the mix.

This are on the list now, thanks for the info.

  7. Wanted to think about it for a day, but I ended up doubling back for Network, President, and Dog Day.

Already had a used copy of Dog Day flipper, but with $2-$3 in trade the 2-disc is only around $7.

Too bad I bought the Batman boxset for $55, but the box is really cool and is displayed on 'boxset row' along my mantle instead of just being stuck on a shelf.

Some of these titles are showing up at Sam's Club as well. In addition to some of the ones already listed, last night I saw copies of Meet Me in St. Louis and Bringing Up Baby.

I saw all of these for $9.99 at BJs today. At Deep Discount DVD they are $10.47, so depending on your local sales tax, that would be the way to go.

Has anyone seen The Cardinal? In the Fort Lauderdale area perhaps. Probably a bit of a longshot I know, but it would be sweet to get that 2-disker at that price.
