I'm looking for as-it-happened network news footage of the 9/11 events. if any of you happened to be recording on your VCR that morning and have most/all of the tragic events on tape, let me know. I'm teaching a media/broadcasting course and the footage would be used accordingly.

I started recording right after the second tower went down and got about three hours after that. I wasn't in the right frame of mind to start recording sooner, I was too stunned.
I recorded it on my s-vhs vcr, so you'll need an s-vhs vcr to watch it on.

There is alot of footage available on Morpheus...not sure how you'd easily convert it to tape though.

    Check out http://tvarchive.org
There's 30 minutes of the live coverage from ABC news there, starting from when they interrupted GMA to report a crash into the WTC.
It's noth horrifying and sad watching it, hearing the comments from the reporters, who have know clue what's going on, of course. Like Diane Sawyer saying "I think the fire might have gone out in the first tower", just a few minutes after the second tower was hit.
